  3. idk if it’s the same in scotland as it is in america, but i’m a barista in california and the flat white is basically a latte, but with a couple of little differences. The espresso shots are pulled I believe halfway? (they’re pulled “shorter” which i’m unsure of the exact meaning on–but they’re much smaller, and sweeter!) and you get an extra shot. Also, it’s made with whole milk (or any non dairy milk of course) and you pour it slowly from high up, and then bring it down at the last second so there’s a nice even layer of foam infused with the espresso on top, and one dot of white in the middle.
