  1. OMG guys, reading your comments and realizing the mistake I made… I didn’t cut open the core of the tomato! BAHH!!! I shall try this again and update you…

    1. DW, I made this tons of times if you cut the core wont make a difference, add either powdered vegtable or chicken boulions just alittle and cut up 1 spring onion and mix it in then its bomb

    2. Cheap Lazy Vegan yes, core the tomato and place it upside down in the cooker. When done right it should almost pop when you go to smash it. And it does taste amazing! I found this recipe a while back and make it and add in things depending on what I feel like.

      I’m a little late, first time I’ve seen your channel.

    3. also make sure the tomato is actually ripe and not just red (they spray them to make them turn red). Also maybe use roma tomatoes (sauce tomatoes) instead of a beefsteak tomato.

    4. I think you’re also supposed to use the amount of ricecooker cups instead of measuring cups. A ricecooker cup is only 2/3 of a regular cup 🍚

  2. strickly dumpling did it but he added other things… and did things to the tomato.. but maybe some seasonings next time? still good video.

  3. Couple of tips for future attempts after watching this video:

    (1) Use vegetable broth instead of water for a deeper more complex flavor

    (2) Core the tomato! You forgot to remove the core in this video!

    (3) Add a couple peeled and smashed garlic cloves as well with the tomato

  4. I made this for lunch but I used sesame oil instead of olive oil and garlic pepper and it’s sooooo good 😭♥️
