      Good idea! And yes, when I stopped counting calories I started to REALLY lose waight. Lost more than 60(!) Kilo in a year. (I was 130 kilo when I started) and stay like this for more than 15 years…. Vegan lifestayl is very good for me for 12 years now. Love it! And love ur recipies!! Maybe when I’m visiting Canada soon, I’ll stop by to munch a bit at the cafe 🙂

  2. I just went vegan two weeks (ish) ago, and I’m beginning to understand what you’re saying about the relationship with food. I’ve got a ton of extra weight, and I’ve spent the last several years trying EVERYTHING to get to a healthier weight. I’ve had varying degrees of success, I managed to keep most of it off, but my relationship with food is still disturbingly unhealthy.

    So, long story short (ish) I recently decided to do this whole foods plant-based thing, and went straight from a ketogenic diet into a high-starch whole food vegan diet. No calorie restriction, no nothing. I actually just ate a bunch of potatoes (god, did I miss potatoes.)

    About 30 minutes later, I was nearly in tears. It was the first time I had felt comfortable in years. I wasn’t feeling guilty about what I ate, or hungry because I didn’t eat enough. I decided, then, that I was done with making myself uncomfortable all the time. I deserve better than that from myself. So whatever I do going forward, that’s my first requirement. Am I comfortable?

    I seem to be losing some of the weight so far on WFPB, and I haven’t felt this good in ages. So I imagine I’m going to stick with it. I also made a killer vegan Chili with rice and didn’t miss all the meat and oils. It’s crazy how quickly those cravings just disappeared.

  3. I’m 4’11 and 37kgs. Lost so much weight from starvation and depressive phase after a breakup. Lol I used to weigh properly (by BMI), around 42-45kgs. Sooooo hard to gain it back with this self-destructive practice of “starvation” especially in a flexitarian way (I want to ditch meat as much as I want so I’m mostly vegan/vegetarian.) I don’t know which veggies to consume that is calorie and nutrient heavy. Lol. But I’ve been feeling better because even though I haven’t gain the weight back, I’ve been eating healthy and all those veggies ❤ Scales can’t tell health anyway! But if anyone here knows calorie and nutrient heavy foods please reply 😊
